Emotional stress, modest troponin rise, unobstructed coronaries and apical ballooning are characteristic of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. LAD occlusion would usually show culprit coronary obstruction. Pericarditis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and vasospasm do not explain the typical ventriculographic pattern.
