Correct answer: B — Balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty
Balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty is the first-line treatment for critical or severe isolated pulmonary valve stenosis. It is performed in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory and has excellent outcomes with low complication rates. It has largely replaced surgical valvotomy for isolated PS. Re-intervention may be needed if restenosis occurs.
