Ex-premature infants (<32 weeks) are at high risk of apnoea with RSV bronchiolitis due to central and obstructive mechanisms. Caffeine citrate may be indicated for recurrent apnoeas. Palivizumab is prophylactic and not a treatment. Corticosteroids and ribavirin have no role in routine bronchiolitis management.
