A zygomatic complex fracture involves separation of the zygoma from its articulations with the frontal bone (zygomaticofrontal suture), temporal bone (zygomaticotemporal suture), and maxilla (zygomaticomaxillary suture and infraorbital rim). Clinical features include flattening of the cheek, periorbital ecchymosis, subconjunctival haemorrhage, infraorbital nerve paraesthesia, trismus (impingement of coronoid process), and possible diplopia. CT is the standard diagnostic imaging.
