Reveal the answer and explanation

Correct answer: CRetentive clasp arm tip

Only the retentive tip (terminal third) of the clasp arm should be flexible enough to engage (pass over) the survey line and spring into the retentive undercut. The rest of the clasp arm, the reciprocal arm, the major and minor connectors, and all other framework components must be RIGID to provide support, stabilisation, and reciprocation. If the retentive arm is too rigid, it will exert excessive force on the abutment tooth; if it is too flexible, it will not provide adequate retention.
