Correct answer: ELidocaine 2% with 1:100,000 epinephrine

Amide local anaesthetics (lidocaine, articaine, mepivacaine, prilocaine, bupivacaine) are safe for patients with malignant hyperthermia susceptibility. Malignant hyperthermia is triggered by volatile inhalational anaesthetic agents (sevoflurane, desflurane, halothane) and depolarising neuromuscular blockers (succinylcholine). Local anaesthetics do not trigger malignant hyperthermia and can be used safely in the dental office.
