Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (Aa) is the organism most classically associated with the molar-incisor pattern of periodontitis in young patients (formerly called localized aggressive periodontitis). Under the 2017 classification, this is now described as periodontitis, Grade C (rapid rate of progression), with a molar-incisor distribution.
