Correct answer: AKarl Jaspers

Karl Jaspers introduced this phenomenological and methodological framework into systematic psychopathology in General Psychopathology, first published in 1913. He emphasised careful description of subjective experience, including its form rather than merely its content, and distinguished empathic or genetic understanding from causal explanation. Primary delusional experiences were classically regarded as un-understandable in this specific sense. Bleuler coined the term schizophrenia and described its characteristic features; Kraepelin developed the dementia praecox concept and a longitudinal nosology; Schneider described first-rank symptoms; and Freud developed psychoanalytic theory. These figures influenced psychopathology, but the framework described is specifically Jasperian.
