Correct answer: A — Common peroneal nerve
The lateral cutaneous nerve of the calf (lateral sural cutaneous nerve) arises from the common peroneal nerve in the popliteal fossa. It supplies sensation to the posterolateral leg. It may communicate with the medial sural cutaneous nerve (from tibial nerve) to form the sural nerve which supplies the lateral foot and ankle.
