Correct answer: CBrachiocephalic trunk (innominate artery)

The left subclavian artery arises directly from the aortic arch (third branch). The right subclavian artery arises from the brachiocephalic trunk (innominate artery) which is the first branch of the aortic arch. The brachiocephalic trunk divides into the right subclavian and right common carotid arteries behind the right sternoclavicular joint.
