Correct answer: BGlasgow (Imrie) scoring system

The Glasgow (Imrie) scoring system is specifically designed for acute pancreatitis severity prediction within the first 48 hours. It uses 8 parameters: age >55, WCC >15, glucose >10, urea >16, PaO2 <8 kPa, calcium <2.0, albumin <32, LDH >600. A score ≥3 predicts severe pancreatitis. APACHE II is also used (score ≥8 = severe) but is a general ICU severity score. The revised Atlanta classification (2012) uses organ failure and local/systemic complications to classify severity. CT severity index (Balthazar) assesses pancreatic necrosis extent.
