In which patients is rasburicase indicated for treating or preventing acute hyperuricaemia at the start of chemotherapy?

Rasburicase is indicated to treat or prevent acute hyperuricaemia to prevent acute renal failure in adults and children and adolescents aged 0–17 years with haematological malignancy, a high tumour burden and risk of rapid tumour lysis or shrinkage at chemotherapy initiation.
