Answer
Ethionamide may intensify adverse reactions to para-aminosalicylic acid, principally gastrointestinal effects, including jaundice, hepatitis, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain or anorexia, and should be withdrawn if these effects are significant.
