In healthy adults, eslicarbazepine acetate 1,200 mg once daily with phenytoin decreased eslicarbazepine exposure by an average 31–33% and increased phenytoin exposure by 31–35%; depending on individual response, the eslicarbazepine acetate dose may need increasing and the phenytoin dose decreasing.
