How does colesevelam affect the absorption of olmesartan medoxomil?

Colesevelam hydrochloride taken concurrently with olmesartan medoxomil (Olmetec) reduces olmesartan’s systemic exposure, peak plasma concentration and half-life; taking olmesartan medoxomil at least 4 hours before colesevelam reduces this interaction and should be considered.
