Belantamab mafodotin enhances recruitment and activation of immune effector cells, which kill tumour cells through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and phagocytosis; the apoptosis it induces also produces markers of immunogenic cell death, which may contribute to an adaptive immune response to tumour cells.
