How can carboplatin interact with phenytoin?

Carboplatin can reduce phenytoin absorption and blood levels, worsening seizures, while phenytoin can increase carboplatin's hepatic metabolism, increasing toxicity or reducing efficacy; concomitant use is not recommended.
