Lymphoma and skin cancers have been reported after use, but reports alone do not establish that pimecrolimus caused them. Long-term local immune effects remain uncertain, so avoid suspicious lesions and excessive ultraviolet exposure and report persistent skin changes or swollen lymph nodes.
