RPS Resources for Foundation Pharmacists 2026: What the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Provides

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is the professional body for pharmacists — separate from the GPhC (the regulator). RPS membership provides professional resources, but most foundation trainees join and never explore beyond the membership card.

Resources include: clinical guidelines and prescribing competency frameworks, full Pharmaceutical Journal access (including the CRA preparation series), CPD support and recording tools, and the advanced credentialing pathway to Advanced Pharmacist recognition.

The Foundation Pharmacist Framework sets out expected competencies during the foundation year — understanding this framework alongside the GPhC training standards provides a comprehensive picture of what you are working toward.

RPS is not a revision tool provider. The resources are professional development focused. But the clinical guidelines and prescribing frameworks directly inform the clinical therapeutics tested in the CRA — and the PJ preparation series is one of the best free CRA guides available.

Where iatroX Fits

RPS provides professional frameworks. iatroX provides the clinical knowledge and adaptive revision that helps you meet those frameworks — from CRA preparation through to CPD for revalidation.
