The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is the most underused free resource in pharmacy training. Funded by NHSE, it provides CPD for all pharmacists in England — e-learning modules, assessments, workshops, and webinars covering clinical therapeutics, consultation skills, leadership, and research.
The RPS advanced credentialing programme is hosted through CPPE — making it directly relevant to long-term career development beyond the foundation year.
For foundation trainees, CPPE supports competency development alongside GPhC exam preparation. The modules are not exam-specific (they do not provide CRA-format questions), but they build the therapeutic knowledge and professional understanding that the CRA tests.
CPPE content can be basic for advanced practitioners — but for foundation trainees building clinical knowledge, the modules provide structured learning at zero cost.
