Key points

  • Day-by-day plan: index first, then fill gaps, then export your pack.
  • Aim for clarity of scope + six supporting-information buckets + PDP.
  • Finish with an ‘Appraisal Export’ folder: everything your appraiser needs, in order.

7-day sprint plan

1

Day 7 — Scope + index

Write a clean scope-of-practice paragraph and update your Master Index. Identify missing buckets (CPD/QI/etc).
2

Day 6 — CPD + learning log

Add certificates and write 1–2 short reflections focused on learning + action.
3

Day 5 — QI / audit

Add your best QI artifact (plan/results/run chart) + a one-paragraph ‘what changed’ summary.
4

Day 4 — Significant events + governance

Document learning from any significant events/near-misses and what changed (personal or system).
5

Day 3 — Feedback (patients + colleagues)

Upload evidence, write short reflections, and note how feedback changed your behaviour or processes.
6

Day 2 — Compliments/complaints + probity/health statements

Summarise themes, learning, and actions. Keep tone factual and improvement-focused.
7

Day 1 — PDP + export pack

Finalise PDP goals (3–5), link evidence, then create a single PDF bundle + ‘Appraisal Exports’ folder.
