This structured revision academy covers each DRCOG syllabus module with the clinical depth and guideline specificity the exam tests — organised for systematic preparation from Module 1 through Module 7.
Module 1: Contraception and Sexual Health
The highest-weighted module. Master the UKMEC summary table, all contraceptive methods (mechanism, efficacy, side effects, UKMEC), emergency contraception eligibility and interactions, STI first-line management, cervical screening programme, and quick-start/missed pill protocols. Key guidelines: FSRH UKMEC, FSRH method-specific guidelines, BASHH STI guidelines. Practice: iatroX DRCOG Q-Bank Module 1 questions.
Module 3: Antenatal Care
The second highest-weighted module. Cover booking and screening schedule, first and second trimester screening tests, gestational diabetes management (NICE NG3), pre-eclampsia diagnosis and management (NICE NG133), rhesus disease and anti-D prophylaxis, medications in pregnancy, and VTE risk assessment. Key guidelines: NICE NG201, NG133, NG3, RCOG GTG 37.
Module 4: Labour and Delivery
Master CTG interpretation (the classification system and management responses), PPH prevention and management (RCOG GTG 52), shoulder dystocia management (McRoberts, Rubin), indications for operative delivery (GTG 26), induction of labour, and caesarean section indications. Key guidelines: NICE intrapartum care, RCOG GTGs 52, 26, 54.
Module 6: Gynaecology

Key guidelines: NICE NG88 (heavy menstrual bleeding), NG23 (menopause), RCOG GTG 71.
Modules 2, 5, and 7
Lower-weighted but still testable. Cover ectopic pregnancy management (NICE NG126, RCOG GTG 17), miscarriage management options, abortion legal framework, postnatal care (NICE NG194), breastfeeding and medication, postnatal depression, and hyperemesis management.
The Academy Approach
Work through each module using the iatroX DRCOG Q-Bank — 600+ questions with adaptive spaced repetition. After completing each module's questions, read the corresponding key guidelines. Use Ask iatroX to verify any uncertain management pathway. The adaptive algorithm ensures Module 1 content is retained as you progress through subsequent modules.
