CfAP digital badges are web-enabled credentials verifying your advanced clinical practice status. They are becoming the standard employers check for Band 8+ applications.

What they are: Digital credentials awarded by the Centre for Advancing Practice, verifiable online by employers and commissioners.

How to get them: Complete an accredited MSc programme, or submit evidence through the ePortfolio route (funded CPPE programmes available).

Why they matter: Increasingly required for Band 8+ roles. Differentiate credentialed ACPs from self-declared ones. Provide employers with verified evidence of advanced capability. Enable career progression to consultant practitioner level.

Career impact: Without the badge, career progression into senior ACP and consultant roles is increasingly difficult. With it, you have verified evidence of advanced practice across all four pillars.
