A 4 month old boy is brought to the emergency department with a 2 day history of coryzal symptoms and increasing cough and work of breathing. He was born at term and is usually well. On examination he has tachypnoea, nasal flaring, intercostal recession and widespread fine crackles and wheeze. Oxygen saturation is 90 percent on air, respiratory rate 54 per minute, pulse 160 per minute and he is feeding poorly. What is the most likely diagnosis?
